Surgical Services

surgical services vet careOur sterile animal hospital surgery suite is fully equipped with all the tools needed to provide the safest surgical care. We have patient warming devices, numerous patient monitors, anesthetic and veterinary technicians to monitor patients.

We provide routine spay, neuters, declaws, dental cleaning and tooth extractions as well as many non-routine surgeries.

Our patients are allowed to recover from surgery as comfortably and as safely as possible. They are monitored and kept warm and cozy with appropriate pain relief until they are fully recovered. They are then sent home when appropriate with more pain medication. Pain relief is a huge part of proper healing.  We offer pet laser therapy for post-surgical recovery.

Our number one concern is the health and safety of your pet. If your pet is scheduled for surgery, dental procedure, or any other service that requires anesthesia, we want you to feel confident your pet is in the best of hands.

Whether a procedure requires general anesthesia or a simple local anesthetic, we are trained to be sure our pet is as safe as possible.

Our staff uses the most effective and up-to-date protocols, the safest type of anesthesia, and monitors your pet closely throughout the procedure, no matter how routine, to ensure the safety of your pet. We run pre-surgery bloodwork, especially for our older or higher risk patients, before any procedure and monitor vital signs throughout the procedure. A technician will continually assess your pet through the procedure and throughout recovery.

Spay and Neuter

We are committed to reducing pet overpopulation, but we are even more committed to keeping your pet strong and healthy for the duration of its life. Spaying (for female pets) or neutering (for male pets) is one of the best ways to keep your pet healthy and avoid unnecessary health problems now and later in life. We do our best to make these services an affordable preventative measure for our clients.

Spaying females prior to their first heat cycle nearly eliminates the risk of breast cancer. In addition, spaying also helps prevents uterine infections and uterine cancer. Neutering males prevents testicular cancer and enlargement of the prostate, and greatly reduces their risk for perianal tumors as well as reducing aggression and marking and roaming behavior. Essentially allowing your pets to be spayed or neutered will enable them to fulfill a long, healthy life.
